Replatforming, and the deadlines forcing it
Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 left standard support on 11 August 2026. Cin7 Omni retires Legacy B2B on 23 November 2026. These pages cover what each deadline actually forces, what it does not, and what carries over when a B2B catalogue moves.
Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 is out of standard support. Now what?
Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 left standard support on 11 August 2026, nine days ago, and 2.4.5 left extended support the same day. Adobe’s lifecycle policy gives 2.4.6 extended support to 31 August 2027 and security fixes to 31 May 2028, so this is not a forced replatform. The date that takes a store offline is 1 June 2027, for Adobe Commerce Cloud on an unsupported version.Cin7 Omni Legacy B2B shuts down on 23 November 2026
Cin7 Omni retires Legacy B2B, Products v1 and CRM v1 on 23 November 2026, which is three months from today. Cin7’s own end-of-life page shows Legacy B2B stopped getting support on 31 October 2023 and Products v1 and CRM v1 stopped on 30 March 2022, so the November date switches off three things that have already been unmaintained for years.Shopify wholesale app or native B2B, now B2B is on every plan
Shopify put B2B on every plan on 2 April 2026, so a Basic, Grow or Advanced merchant running a wholesale app or a second wholesale store can now use company profiles, catalogues, payment terms and volume pricing natively. Below Plus the ceiling is three active B2B catalogues, assigned through Markets, and that ceiling decides whether ERP-driven contract pricing fits. The connector works badly. Replace it, or replace the platform?
Replace the connector when the defect is in the sync and the platform is doing its job. Replace the platform when the connector fails because the platform cannot hold the shape of your data, which is what a variant ceiling or a single stock number is. Most of the time neither is the answer and the fix is your item master. What actually carries over when a B2B catalogue moves platform
Products, categories and public URLs move. Company accounts, contacts and entitlements are rebuilt rather than copied, and customer passwords cannot move at all. Price lists, credit limits, order history and invoices should not move, because they belong in the ERP and a copy in the storefront becomes a second version of the truth.
